Daniel Grundel finished off a free kick opportunity for Hofstra in the 22nd minute to lift the Pride to a 1-0 victory over Vermont in non-conference men's soccer action at Virtue Field on Sunday. Joseph Holland's service from 25 yards out was knocked down by Elliott Firth and over to Grundei who finished off the play with a toe poke past UVM goalkeeper Conor Leland.
