Buffalo exacted a measure of revenge on Canisius for bumping them out of the NECHL tournament last season when the Bulls dropped the Griffs 3-1 in their season opener at the Buffalo State College Arena, home of the Griffs ACHA team. Then they headed to Mercyhurst and took away a 2-1 win.
