Brandon McCarthy gave up a run in three innings Friday night in his second spring for the Los Angeles Dodgers, a 3-3 tie with the Cincinnati Reds. McCarthy, who signed a four-year, $48-million free-agent contract with the Dodgers on Dec. 16, gave up an RBI double to Chris Dominguez in the second inning and three hits overall.
